January 2023 Message

Greetings Madison District Families,

As we all know there has been an influx of school threats within Oakland County, including within Madison District Public Schools.  I want to assure you that Madison District Public Schools takes all threats seriously!  The safety of all students and staff are at the forefront of our daily operations.

I ask that you monitor your students' cellular device and/or social media accounts, and report any threats directly to me via cell phone, 248-953-7095.  Upon receiving notification of threats, we will immediately conduct an investigation and alert the  Madison Heights Police Department, who then conducts their own thorough investigation.

Unfortunately, there are students making false threats just to have a day off.  School threats are a direct violation of the student code of conduct and making threats could lead to expulsion.  ALL threats will be reported to the Madison Heights Police Department, and legal actions will be taken.

Please take the time to view The School Safety Video from the Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff safe!

Patricia Perry, EdS
Superintendent
